The evolution of the managament of Windows Computers at CERN
                          Ivan Deloose, CERN

This talk will present the evolution of the CERN infrastructure for the
management of Windows desktop and server computers. In the context of
Windows for controls, an in-house framework, called Computer Management
Framework (CMF) was developed to allow local administrators to manage
their sets of Windows computers. This new technology, which is already
used by the controls community, has been adapted to serve as a global
system for the management of all Windows computers at CERN. The CMF
architecture as well as its most principal features will be covered in
this talk.
